When ideas come to life

When ideas come to life

The legendary competition between our patrons, Zeuxis and Parrhasius, has fuelled artistic debates for centuries and brought the relationship between appearance and reality into focus. Art uses illusion and deception to rival and question what is real. The imitation of reality, carried out to the highest degree of perfection, is known as trompe l’oeil and has profoundly inspired the design of our wallpapers.

Like the painted curtain that deceived Zeuxis, wallpaper can also create the fascinating illusion of three-dimensional space. We love the idea of transforming a plain room into an engaging, colourful space, a place to dwell and delight in every day.

Our designs reflect the variety inherent in the Arts and Crafts movement, its development through history and influence on artists. Each pattern we create emerges from the desire to breathe life into something that represents beauty and singularity.
